A 27-year-old woman who returned to Hong Kong from the United Arab Emirates had contracted the coronavirus, the Centre for Health Protection reported.
The imported patient is the only case reported by health authorities today.
Hong Kong’s Covid tally now stood at 11,837, along with 210 deaths.
The Centre for Health Protection said 24 Covid infections had been recorded in the 14 days between May 12 to 25 – including eight local cases, of which five had unknown sources.
Meanwhile, the CHP is investigating an overseas case involving a 51-year-old man who was a companion of the 18-year-old woman who went to Shenzhen as announced by the center on May 24. The two were said to have gone to Shenzhen on May 8.
The 51-year-old had been confirmed COVID-19 positive on May 23, also tested positive for immunoglobulin G, as announced by the Guangdong health authority.
