Mother arrested after naked kid with wound spotted on street

A mother in Yuen Long was arrested over child abuse, after pedestrians found her kid standing on the street naked and bleeding. 

The case was listed as a child abuse case for the moment, according to the police, and the kid has been sent to hospital for treatment. 

A netizen posted on social media today, after spotting a kid standing naked on the street in Tai Kiu Market in Yuen Long. The kid also has wounds in his face and his legs, and was bleeding. 

The netizen recorded video and took photos as well, in which the kid was offered clothes to cover his body. The boy claimed that “someone hit him with wire” when someone asked him what happened. 

People also confronted the woman, saying that she should not treat her kid in such way. Yet the woman denied that she abused the kid and only replied that “the kid rushed downstairs himself”. 

The netizen then said he could testify in court for the case with his video as evidence. 

The police responded to media inquiries and said that a female pedestrian reported the incident at 1.44pm today, that she suspected a boy was abused by his mother in Tai Kiu Market in Yuen Long. Officers then arrived at the scene and arrested the mother.
