Three-nil buildings refer to buildings that do not have owners' corporations or any form of residents' organizations, or do not engage property management companies.
Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor this morning said authorities have drawn a “core area” in Yau Ma Tei and Jordan, which was said to be within the area previously specified for mandatory testing.
Residents living in buildings inside the “core area” will have to get tested regardless of having any infections within the building.
Meanwhile, buildings outside the “core area” will be included in the compulsory testing notice when their sewage samples were tested positive for the coronavirus for three days consecutively.
Lam also said the testing methods in Yau Ma Tei and Jordan will also extend to Sham Sui Po, where buildings will be included in the compulsory testing notice with one or more confirmed cases found in a unit in the past 14 days
