The reproduction rate of the coronavirus in Hong Kong is inching towards a point where one person could rapidly infect another.

Data from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong show that the virus reproduction rate has risen from 0.4 to 0.5.
Professor Gabriel Leung said yesterday the R-rate, had been edging towards 0.6 at the end of last month.
Leung, the dean of the University of Hong Kong's Faculty of Medicine, has expressed worries about a greater number of virus infections in the city.
