The new racing season will start on Sunday, September 6 at Sha Tin, the Hong Kong Jockey Club said.
Horse racing had been scheduled to start on Saturday, September 5.
Sha Tin will host the following week's meeting on Sunday, September 13, while Happy Valley will host night races on Wednesday April 7 and 8.
In the past season, the club hosted a record 828 races and simulcast 164 overseas races.
Turnover was HK$121.6 billion, 2.6 percent down on the record 2018/19 figure.
The season-ending race in Happy Valley on July 15, the turnover was HK$1.6 billion, a record for a fixture at the city-side venue.
