Mainland and Hong Kong officials responsible for national security held a meeting today, the government said, adding they discussed work on the “implementing and enforcement of the National Security Law, and exchanged views on relevant matters.''
The mainland's Office for Safeguarding National Security in Hong Kong held a co-ordination meeting with the Committee for Safeguarding National Security of the Hong Kong, chaired by Chief Executive, Carrie Lam.
Other attendees included Luo Huining, the National Security Adviser; the head of the National Security Office, Zheng Yanxiong; and the deputy heads Li Jiangzhou and Sun Qingye.
The national security office and committee were established at the beginning of this month under Article 48 and Article 12 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Safeguarding National Security in Hong Kong.
