Hong Kong-based singer-songwriter Khalil Fong has died at the age of 41.
His music label Fu Music announced the news on Saturday, saying Fong had passed away on February 21 after fighting with illness with a positive attitude for five years.
"Fong will continue his mission and dreams in another realm of life. The music and graphic novels he left behind are an eternal spiritual legacy," it said.
Fong was hospitalized from time to time due to pneumothorax in 2010, possibly caused by overwork. He stepped back from his music career following the release of his album Journey to the West, in 2016.
When making a comeback last October with his new release The Dreamer, he said he was on the road to recovery and his physical condition had significantly improved.
