Hospital Authority mulls delivery of medical supplies by drone: sources

Hong Kong’s Hospital Authority is looking into using drones to deliver hospital supplies and medications, according to sources.

It was understood that the measures include using drones to deliver medications, such as from Tseung Kwan O Hospital to Po Toi O, about 10 kilometers away. 

However, sources said the idea was only being explored.

In response to a media inquiry, the HA said it would communicate closely with various government departments and stakeholders to explore the application of the low-altitude economy in medical services, including the feasibility of using drones for supply delivery.
