Sing Tao News Corporation conducted a survey revealing that 71 percent of respondents believe the measures introduced in this year's Policy Address will help boost Hong Kong's economy. Additionally, 62 percent expressed satisfaction with the content of the Policy Address.

The survey was initiated on October 16, the same day Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu unveiled the 2024 Policy Address. By October 23, over 13,000 people had participated.
The survey, which included seven questions, focused on the potential economic impact of the Policy Address. Results indicated that 49.5 percent of respondents agreed and 21.5 percent strongly agreed that the Policy Address could enhance the economy. Conversely, 17.6 percent disagreed and 5.2 percent strongly disagreed.
Participants were also asked to select up to three measures from the Policy Address that they believe could effectively promote economic development in Hong Kong. The development of distinctive and diversified tourism was the most popular choice, selected by 19.6 percent of respondents. This was followed by support for small and medium-sized enterprises (12.9 percent) and the development of Kai Tak Sports Park into a Sports and Mega Event Landmark (12.8 percent).
Other notable measures included promoting the development of the Northern Metropolis and developing a low-altitude economy, which garnered 11.2 percent and 8 percent of the votes, respectively.
In terms of overall satisfaction of the Policy Address, 49.5 percent of respondents were satisfied and 12.5 percent were very satisfied with this year's Policy Address, totaling 62 percent satisfaction. However, 21 percent were dissatisfied and 6.5 percent were very dissatisfied.
The survey also explored whether the release of the Policy Address had increased respondents' confidence in Hong Kong's future prospects. About 60.6 percent agreed or strongly agreed that it did, while 21.6 percent disagreed.
