Tickets for Coldplay concerts at the brand-new Kai Tak Sports Park in April next year were speedily snapped up within just an hour after the general sale had opened at 10 am on Thursday.
Our reporter tried logging onto the online ticketing platform at 10 am this morning, and failed to make it to the purchasing page despite multiple attempts.
The only successful attempt came at 10.35 am, yet most tickets were already sold out. Only wheelchair tickets were available for the Friday concert, and a handful of HK$1,299 tickets were left for the Saturday concert. There were also limited tickets remaining for the standing zone, yet our reporter was unable to access the page for payment.
By 11 am, our reporter again logged onto the ticketing platform and found all tickets to the Friday concert sold out, with single tickets remaining for the Wednesday and Saturday sessions. All standing area tickets for the Friday and Saturday sessions were also sold out.
