Interior renovations, engineering works, and curtain wall installations are currently in progress for the two blocks, QEH added.
The Specialist Out-patient Clinic Block will have ten stories and provide
specialist out-patient services as well as rehabilitation treatment services.
The new hospital will be one of the largest emergency facilities in Hong Kong, offering 2,400 inpatient and day beds, 37 operating theatres, and various clinical services.
Most of the services at QEH will gradually relocate to the new hospital and NAH will become the leading hospital in the Kowloon Central Cluster (KCC).
NAH will also integrate "Smart Hospital" capabilities, enabling patients to access services by utilizing the "HA Go" application, thereby eliminating the need to queue for registration.
The design includes waiting areas and green spaces for patients to relax before appointments, with notifications sent as their appointment times approach to reduce crowding.
