A man was rescued after he had his fingers trapped by a machine in Wan Chai on Monday morning.
At around 11 am today, a male chef was using the noodle-making machine in the kitchen of a Korean restaurant on the ground floor of Golden Jubilee House, located in Wan Chai.
It was later suspected that he had accidentally slipped two fingers into the machine, causing him to be trapped in the noodle machine in the kitchen and unable to move.
His colleagues discovered the accident and contacted the police for assistance.
The rescue workers arrived at the scene, dismantled the noodle machine, and released his two fingers that were trapped within the machine.
The rescue workers bandaged his injuries on site, and he was sent to the Ruttonjee hospital for medical attention while in a conscious state.
The police listed the incident as an industrial accident.
