Torrential rain in Hong Kong, lasting over 10 hours and prompting the Hong Kong Observatory to issue the black rainstorm warning Thursday night, caused severe flooding in various northern New Territories districts, with Temple Mall seriously inundated.
Wong Tai Sin was the location most heavily affected due to the rain, with the Temple Mall being heavily flooded.
Despite the MTR station located near the mall being closed beforehand, the water level had reached dangerous heights, and only the sign of the Wong Tai Sin MTR station was visible.
According to photos posted online today, the LG floor of the Temple Mall North was half-flooded, with the floors of the restaurants completely covered in water.
The signs, furniture, and other items were also seen being swept along with the water.
