The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced Thursday (March 30) that they are welcoming the new swimming season by opening the swimming pools in phases starting from April 1 or after completing repairs.
Between April and October, all swimming pools under the LSCD except Mui Wo Swimming Pool will be open every day from 6am to 10pm for three sessions, with two one-hour breaks between the sessions.
The Mui Wo Swimming Pool will instead have its opening hour set at 8:30am to keep in line with the ferry schedule and will still have two one-hour breaks between sessions.
Kowloon Tsai Swimming Pool in Kowloon City District, which was closed for maintenance, is expected to be reopened around 2024/2025.
Among the 17 pool complexes with both heated and non-heated swimming facilities, the ones with heated facilities will continue to operate between April 1 and 15, while the remaining ones with non-heated facilities start service after April 16.
The LSCD warns swimmers to mind their safety and keep public swimming pools clean and hygienic while swimming.
