“Mo” Li Kai-yin, who has been under the intensive care of Queen Elizabeth Hospital after being seriously injured by a gigantic falling screen at Mirror’s concert on July 28, regained consciousness and could communicate with others using simple words.
Another source said that Mo's parents returning from Canada had completed quarantine and moved to another hotel early in the morning.
Mo's father, Pastor Li Shing-Lam, on Sunday sent out the second prayer letter, saying that his son is awake and able to communicate with the outside world.
He thanked the medical team for their professional treatment and care, as well as all the people of Hong Kong and friends around the world for their blessings on his son.
Pastor Li Shing-Lam's prayer letter:
1. Kai-yin is now awake and can communicate briefly with the outside world. We pray that with God's grace, he will have the opportunity to recover as soon as possible, meet with others, and return to the stage as soon as possible.
2. Thank you for the professional treatment and care of the medical team that allowed Kai-yin to see the light in the midst of his crisis.
3. Thank you to all the people of Hong Kong and friends around the world for praying for Kaiyan and sending their blessings.
4. Thank you for the coordination of compassionate visits during the past week of quarantine.
5. I hope that the inter-departmental working group set up by the Hong Kong government will come up with constructive recommendations after the investigation to ensure the safety of future performers.
6. To give our family enough time and space to calm down and focus on the recovery of Kai-yin during this sudden and huge shock.
7. to continue to pray for the two other dancers who were injured in the concert, Chang Tsz-fung and Zisac Law Tak-chi, and for those who were affected physically and emotionally by the incident, that they will be able to resume their normal lives as soon as possible!
8. Thank you to all the media who have been watching over the past few days and have shown their professionalism in journalism. May they be safe in body, mind and spirit.
Another injured dancer Chang Tsz-fung was discharged from the hospital and has moved to a place where he could rest and recuperate, his friends said on Sunday.
Chang himself also uploaded a photo with other Mirror concert dancers and a short video in the dressing room on social media in the early hours of Sunday. The post reads, "6 Aug 2022 was originally the last show. I just want to say, 24 of us will be back on stage again all together."
