Tower 1 and 8 of The Pavilia Farm III will be demolished and rebuilt as the concrete base of its walls failed to reach standard requirement.
It will take approximately another nine months before some 800 buyers can move in. They will also be compensated by New World Development Company Ltd, who is in charge of the property project.
According to New World Development, buyers can still proceed and sign the sale and purchase agreement or cancel the agreement immediately. Either way they will be compensated with extra subsidies and interest.
MTR Corp said they are highly concerned of the incident, as well as the quality of the property. They have asked the developer to submit a full report and make appropriate arrangements to ensure these buildings can meet the requirements of the design.
The construction works of these two towers were suspended and the developer will initiate an investigation. MTR also requested the developer to confirm on the work quality of other towers.
New World Development will send a letter to buyers as well, to explain in details in the upcoming days. They will set up a hotline 3563 7368 to answer buyers' inquiries starting tomorrow.
