MTR uploaded a video showing the Tuen Ma Line full line train test from the train captain’s point of view over the weekend.
The trial run of the full line of Tuen Ma Line, from Tuen Mun to Wu Kai Sha, was recorded from the train cockpit.
The public can now have a glimpse of the view as the train captain travelling across all stations of the Tuen Ma Line.
The full line, running over 56 km with 27 stations, will become the longest railway in the city. It is expected to be launched in the third quarter this year.
MTR said the line has entered the final stage of trial operations. They will be simulating train operations according to the full Tuen Ma Line timetable and conducting full line train tests during non-service hours, in preparation for full commencement.
There are altogether six test runs in April and May, in which one test will take place on May 1 after train services stop and end at 7.30am on the next day. Due to this test run the first train of West Rail Line and the Tuen Ma Line Phase 1 will delay to 7.30am on May 2.
MTR has arranged free shuttle bus services which provide ten routes on that day, passing through stations affected by the test run.
