The men's foil quartet of Cheung Ka-long, Cheung Siu-lun, Lawrence Ng, and Ryan Choi secured their place in Tokyo 2020 with an impressive performance at the World Cup in Cairo, when the SAR defeated South Korea in the quarterfinals to qualify for the Olympics as Asia's top team, RTHK reports.
Hong Kong also went on beat France in the bronze medal contest to reach the World Cup podium for only the second time.
Hong Kong racked up 27 points in six minutes to erase a 16-point deficit to beat France 45-44.
