Art lovers and curious newcomers alike will have a chance to experience one of Hong Kong’s most prominent cultural landmarks free of charge next month, as M+ joins the citywide Art March celebrations.
On Sunday, March 8, 2026, M+, Asia’s global museum of contemporary visual culture in the West Kowloon Cultural District, will offer free admission to its major exhibitions and a range of public programs. The initiative aims to invite the broader community to reconnect with the museum while deepening their understanding of contemporary visual culture.
The museum will open from 10am to 8pm, with visitors granted complimentary access to most exhibitions without the need for pre-registration.
The free offerings include several signature shows on Level 2, such as M+ Sigg Collection: Inner Worlds, Things, Spaces, Interactions, Making It Matters, Shanshui: Echoes and Signals, Robert Rauschenberg and Asia, and Chiharu Shiota: Infinite Memory.
Elsewhere in the building, visitors can explore Ryuichi Sakamoto | seeing sound, hearing time at The Studio on B2, as well as Danh Vo In Situ: Akari by Noguchi at Found Space. The Mediatheque on the Lower Ground level will remain open for free entry as usual, with complimentary screening programs taking place at both the Mediatheque and the Grand Stair throughout the day.
However, the special exhibition Zao Wou-Ki: Master Printmaker at the Main Hall Gallery will not be included in the free access program. To help manage visitor flow and optimize the experience, the Main Hall Gallery will remain ticketed, and some museum entrances and exits will be closed on the day.

Visitors wishing to attend the free exhibitions must enter through the Artist Square Entrance. To ensure sufficient time for exploration, the museum will stop new visitors from joining the queue at 7pm.
M+ Members, Patrons and their accompanying guests, as well as ticketholders of Zao Wou-Ki: Master Printmaker, will be able to enter through the Art Park Entrance. Ticket holders will also enjoy priority access to Ryuichi Sakamoto | seeing sound, hearing time, workshops at the Open Print Studio, and entry to the M+ Lounge on Level 11.
