A fishing boat capsized early Tuesday after colliding with a cargo ship off the coast of Aomori prefecture in northeastern Japan, leaving four crew members missing and nine rescued.

According to the Hachinohe Coast Guard Office, the accident occurred around 1.15am about 20 kilometers off Misawa fishing port. A cargo vessel from Hiroshima prefecture collided with a fishing boat from Hachinohe city in Aomori.
The fishing boat capsized in the collision. Nine of the 13 crew members on board have been rescued, while four remain unaccounted for.
