Jantar Mantar dominates G1 Mile Championship but no Hong Kong for Japan's newest superstar

Rising Japanese star Jantar Mantar powered to a dominant victory in the G1 Mile Championship in Kyoto but trainer Tomokazu Takano says his horse will not contest the LONGINES Hong Kong Mile. 

Takano told reporters that his four-year-old, now a four-time Group 1 winner, would not be at Sha Tin in three weeks but that other overseas targets could be an option next year. 

Hong Kong Jockey Club officials expect Soul Rush, who an on well for sixth, and ninth-placed Docklands will be among the confirmed runners when fields for the four Hong Kong International Races are announced on Wednesday.

Runner-up Gaia Force was not expected to be entered in the G1 LONGINES Hong Kong Mile but officials are hoping the performance causes connections to re-consider a second trip to Sha Tin.
