Pep Guardiola is sweating over Jack Grealish's fitness after the Manchester City winger limped off during his side's Champions League win against Copenhagen.
Grealish was substituted with a groin problem in the first half of the holders' 3-1 victory in the last-16 first leg in Denmark.
City playmaker Bernardo Silva also came off with an ankle knock, but it was Grealish's injury that caused the most concern for boss Guardiola.
"He wanted to continue but we didn't want to make the damage even worse," Guardiola said.
Grealish was making his first start in six games in what has been a difficult campaign. The 28-year-old had a spell out with a dead leg earlier and has been kept out of the side by Jeremy Doku and Phil Foden.
Meanwhile, Guardiola hailed Kevin De Bruyne's "extraordinary" form after the Belgian was involved in all three City goals.
De Bruyne's early opener was canceled out by Magnus Mattsson, but Silva restored City's lead before Foden struck in stoppage time.
De Bruyne, 32, was sidelined for five months by a hamstring tear suffered on the opening night of the Premier League in August. But since his return last month, he has scored two goals and provided seven assists in seven appearances.
Elsewhere, an incredible solo goal from Brahim Diaz secured Real Madrid a 1-0 win at RB Leipzig in their last-16 first leg.
Drafted into the side in place of the injured Jude Bellingham, Diaz danced past three Leipzig defenders before curling an inch-perfect shot inside the far post. "I'm intuitive," said Diaz of the goal. "I saw Vini [Vinicius Junior] and wanted to give it to him, but in the end I took the shot."
Jack Grealish lies on the pitch in Copenhagen. AFP
