A female pedestrian crossed the road as the sports car reached the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers despite a red man signal.
In the video, a taxi next to the sports car slowed down upon noticing the situation, but the Lamborghini driver was unable to stop in time despite attempting to swerve away.
After the collision, the woman was seen slowly getting up and crouching on the ground, remaining conscious. Bystanders and the poster rushed over to check on her.
The video has sparked heated discussions online; while some criticized the woman for recklessly crossing the road, others felt the pedestrian and driver both shared responsibility.The police confirmed they received a report at 10.49am on March 30, noting that the 38-year-old male driver of the Lamborghini, surnamed Ho, had struck the 31-year-old female pedestrian, surnamed Li.
Reports indicated that Li suffered no injuries and refused to be taken to the hospital.
