Judy CuiSources provided an internal e-mail that said the school's information technology team discovered unauthorized access to one of the eClass accounts in the student disciplinary system.
Queen's College's student information system was reportedly hacked recently, with one of the student's violation records modified without authorization.

The account was found to have been used to modify student violation records including related penalties, under the names of different teachers.
The school stated that it is highly concerned about the system's vulnerability and is taking additional measures to prevent future incidents of the sort.
It is currently investigating the scope of the unauthorized activities and identifying the affected records, and said a further update will be provided upon obtaining more detailed information and once remedial measures are implemented.
The Education Bureau said it is aware that the school is handling the incident seriously after informing relevant stakeholders. The bureau reminded Queen's College to follow existing guidelines and said it would maintain communication with the school to offer appropriate advice and support.
