From April through September, farmers rise early to pick the tender shoots at the crown of each tea shrub, amounting to around 10 kg of fresh tea shoots.
The tea-making process commences afterward, where the leaves are stir fried, rolled and twisted, dried, and pan fried.
The Tea Garden will be introduced on August 17 at the Hong Kong International Tea Fair from 12.30pm to 1.30pm with a tea production process demonstration.
Interested individuals can register at fair booth 5F-D16 hosted by the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
