At the launch of the PANDA GO! FEST HK exhibition, Legco president Andrew Leung Kwan-yuen humorously said that using DeepSeek to explore ways to promote the panda economy is more effective than many lawmakers' suggestions.

He noted that when consulting with DeepSeek, it suggested turning the six giant pandas in Hong Kong into cultural symbols rather than just tourism resources, aiming to attract families and high-end eco-tourists.
The Chinese AI star also proposed creating a panda ecosystem, including a 4D immersive ecological theater at the Ocean Park panda exhibit.
Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law Shuk-pui said at the launch that the government wants to bring joy through pandas while also transforming them into an industry.
"Thanks to DeepSeek's suggestions; we will carefully consider them, particularly those that align with our ideas, and we will focus on making them happen," she said.
