Cantopop singer Nicholas Tse Ting-fung may become the first Hong Kong singer to hold concerts in the to-be-opened 50,000-seat Kai Tak Main Stadium.Although the details are yet to be announced, sources said Tse may hold the concert between May and June. It is also the first time in 25 years for Tse to hold a concert in Hong Kong.
A video posted on Tse's social media yesterday showed him undergoing rehearsal with a guitar, with the caption having hashtags including "EvolutionNicLive", "Kai Tak Main Stadium" and "StayTuned".

Meanwhile, Mandopop singers are in fierce competition to be the first ones performing at the Main Stadium.
According to Sing Tao Daily, The Standard's sister publication, Taiwanese rock band Mayday has successfully secured a three-day booking of the main stadium in early May, followed by British band Coldplay's upcoming four-day show in April. Previously, Taiwanese singer-songwriter Jay Chou Chieh-lun announced he will hold his Carnival World Tour in Hong Kong at the stadium between June 27 and 29.
