Latvian opera diva Elina Garanca will perform in Hong Kong for the first time on October 29 with some of the best-loved pieces from Bizet's Carmen and a number of opera arias.
Garanca is famous for her role in Carmen and her performance at New York's Metropolitan Opera was described by the New York Times as the finest Carmen in 25 years.
The performance was also one of the most viewed, successful broadcasts in The Met: Live in HD.
The opera diva also performed Carmen at the Royal Opera House, Vienna State Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Teatro alla Scala and Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, all to critical acclaim.
The Elina Garanca Gala Concert will be held at 8pm on October 29 at the Concert Hall of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
