Tencent (0700) is promoting in-depth collaboration with global manufacturers, including Nvidia for its gaming unit, according to its senior vice president Steven Ma Xiaoyi.

Tencent Games is exploring opportunities to create a real-time solution that enhances collaboration across teams and companies, Ma said.
This came as Tencent Cloud, the cloud services arm of Tencent, is reportedly looking to reduce the price for a number of its cloud products by up to 40 percent, following a similar move by Alibaba's (9988) cloud unit last month.
Alibaba's cloud computing division announced in April that it would cut prices for its products and services by up to 50 percent.
Meanwhile, Tencent's music streaming unit Tencent Music Entertainment (1698) saw its first-quarter net profit soar by 88.5 percent year-on-year to 1.15 billion yuan (HK$1.29 billion)
Its adjusted net profit, which is a popular measure for tech firms, also jumped by 57 percent to 1.41 billion yuan in the first three months from a year ago. Total revenue grew 5.4 percent to 7 billion yuan (HK7.97 billion), with income from music subscriptions up 30.4 percent during the period.
