Hong Kong universities have advanced to higher spots within the top 10 of the latest Times Higher Education's Asia University Rankings.

Tsinghua University, Peking University and National University of Singapore claimed the first three spots for the fourth consecutive year.
Times Higher Education, a British magazine reporting on higher education news and issues, has been running the Asian rankings for 11 years.
This year, 669 institutions from 31 countries and regions were ranked according to 13 performance indicators under five areas, namely: teaching (the learning environment); research (volume, income and reputation); citations (research influence); international outlook (staff, students and research); and industry income (knowledge transfer).
Same as in 2022, Japan has the most number of universities ranked on the list, at 117. China and India are second and third, with 95 and 75 universities on the list, respectively.China and Hong Kong are the most represented country or region, with three schools from each making the top 10. HKU and CUHK have expressed their joy upon the release of the results.
"The University of Hong Kong has always been committed to providing students with quality education, striving for excellence in teaching, research and knowledge exchange," a university spokesman said. "We believe that by implementing the blueprint for the future development of the university and striving to become Asia's global university, our international reputation would be further enhanced."CUHK celebrated its rise in the ranking.
Vice-Chancellor and president Rocky Tuan Sung-chi said: "Our high ranking this year holds special significance given the increasing competitiveness of universities in Asia in recent years. This result once again reaffirms CUHK's position as a leading institution in Asia and the world."He also expressed his hopes for the future development of the university, saying: "We look forward to building on this momentum and further enhancing our teaching and research excellence to achieve greater heights."
University of Hong Kong, CUHK and HKUST continue to be ranked in the top 10.
