Ocean Park trip takes to water

Visitors to Ocean Park can from Saturday steer away from road and rail transport and take to the water for going to from one of Hong Kong's most popular sightseeing draws with the launch of a ferry service between Aberdeen Pier and Ocean Park's Tai Shue Wan Pier via Ap Lei Chau's sightseeing sampan pier.

"The 30-minute ferry trip offers more than just a ride," says Paulo Pong Kin-yee, chairman of Ocean Park Corp. People "can take in the beauty of the sea and be inspired by the importance of marine conservation as they join us on board to or from Water World."

The ferry departs from Aberdeen Pier at 9.30am and 10.30am and from Ocean Park's Tai Shue Wan Pier at 7pm and 8pm.

Holders of Water World and Ocean Park admission tickets can board at the three piers and ride free. Up to 80 passengers can go on one trip, with seats on a first-come, first-served basis.
