Estate agents numbers inch down in February

The number of licensed real estate agents in Hong Kong fell for a second straight month, decreasing by 2 month-on-month to 37,674 in February, according to the Estate Agents Authority.

The figure represented 11.2 percent lower than its highest level of 42,408 in February, 2022.

As recent month-to-month fluctuations in the number of real estate agents are minimal, as well as around 1,500 new agents joining annually, overall manpower in the property sector is expected to be stable, said Simon Siu Chak-yu, chairman of the Estate Agents Authority.
