Early Light International, founded by "King of Toys" Francis Choi Chee-ming, is expected to put more homes of its new project Gold Coast Bay in Tuen Mun on sale as early as this month.
The new homes to be launched will be mainly two-bedroom flats with sea views, the property development department's managing director Raymond Lee Ping-yu told Sing Tao Daily, sister newspaper of The Standard.
Lee said Gold Coast Bay recorded over 100 deals since the government further eased stamp duty measures in late February.
As the project also launched offers to pay stamp duties for the clients, the sales of homes costing less than HK$4 million are particularly significant, Lee noted.
Lee added that Gold Coast Bay has so far sold 870 units, with first-time home buyers and families moving to larger homes accounting for 60 percent of the total number of units sold.
As the project is close to the airport, flight attendants, pilots and airport staff are also among the buyers.
In addition, the project also offers three- and four-bedroom flats, as well as 1,300-square-foot penthouses, which are expected to be put for sale by tender. At present, Lee said 3- and 4-bedroom units have already received a lot of enquiries from buyers, and expected the project to boost home sales to a new high.
