If you thought Hong Kong's public transport fare concession scheme for the elderly was generous, try England.
You'll be delighted to learn that Londoners aged 60 and above enjoy travel on public transport absolutely free of charge.
With an Oyster photocard (similar to Octopus cards here), you can move around the city for free after 9am on buses, the Tube, London Overground, trams, Docklands Light Railway and most National Rail services in London.
But if you're an early bird, fear not! The Freedom Pass, for people who meet the State Pension age - currently those aged 66 and above - is valid at all times. Holders of the Freedom Pass can also enjoy travel free of cost on local bus services across England.
For seniors interested in cross-country travel, there's something for you too. The Senior Railcard lets those aged 60 and above save one third on both Standard and First Class train tickets.
That means you can save on visits to the grandkids, trips into town to catch a show or weekends by the seaside - as many times as you like. So what are you waiting for?
