Festive blessings from officials looking pretty in pink

Eight female officials wearing pink took photos with the National Games mascots Xiyangyang and Lerongrong yesterday to spread festive blessings to the public.

The mascots in white and pink, inspired by the Chinese white dolphin - a Grade 1 National Key Protected Species, with their names symbolizing joy, harmony, and unity - are placed at Tamar Park near the Central Government Offices.

Posting on Facebook, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law Shuk-pui said they were also sending good wishes to the games, which will be co-hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau in November.
