Releasing pressure ahead of CNY

The Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration Warner Cheuk Wing-hing tried out a pressure washer surface cleaner to wash streets when inspecting street hygiene across the city earlier.

In his Facebook post yesterday, Cheuk said that street cleanliness was improved in various districts after the government's launch of the program to tackle hygiene black spots in 2022.

He also inspected the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department's cleaning work on Harbour Road in Wan Chai, which deployed the pressure washer surface cleaner that can remove stubborn stains speedily.

"The gray and black floor tiles of the pavement soon returned to their original red and yellow colors after turning on the cleaner and the curb also returned to its original color," Cheuk said.

Cheuk added that he had asked the department to carefully clean the streets to make citizens enjoy a happy Chinese New Year.
