Bonnie Chan Yi-ting, the first female chief executive of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, was listed 45th among the world's 100 Most Powerful Women in Business by Fortune.The latter, who chairs a Macau casino operator, MGM China, ranks 80th.
According to this year's list, two female executives hail from Hong Kong - Chan and Pansy Ho Chiu-king.

Chan, with more than 30 years of global capital markets leadership and expertise, was appointed HKEX's CEO on 1 March 2024.
The list is compiled based on criteria, such as company size and health, career paths of female leaders, and positional and broader influence. Wang Laichun, co-founder of Luxshare Precision Industry, ranks 10th making, with Meng Wanzhou, daughter of Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei, ranking 43rd.
