Stocks fall on Coco TV-show allegations

Allegations that the late Coco Lee was unfairly treated during her time on the popular singing show The Voice of China have sent its producers stocks tumbling.

Star CM tumbled 23 percent last Friday - the most since its listing in December.

The selloff comes as a nine-minute clip surfaced on Weibo allegedly showing a female singer, believed to be Lee, saying she was "bullied" by the production team when she mentored young singers on the reality program.

On Weibo, the team behind The Voice of China said the video was "maliciously edited," which was "disrespectful to the deceased and seriously damaged the program's image."

Lee's elder sister, however, confirmed the authenticity of the video.

Lee's mentees including Wang Zepeng and Zhou Feige also uploaded screenshots of their conversations with Lee during the show to provide more insight into the situation.

Lee committed suicide in early July after suffering from depression for some years.
