As of last night, our athletes got one gold, one silver and two bronze medals, ranked nine out of 113 participating countries and regions in the metal table.
Lydia Sham Hui-yu grabbed a bronze medal in the Women's Spear event yesterday.
Sham, who placed fifth in women's straight sword earlier in the day scored 9.576 but is still in deficit to contestants from Macau, Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia.
She came back later in the day and won the medal by finishing the two groups with 9.583 points, which was just 0.01 points behind the silver medalist, Macau representative Wong Weng-lan. Gold went to Malaysian player Tammy Tan, who had scored 9.613 and 9.51.
Another bronze medal came from Samuel Hui Tak-yan at the Tai Chi Fist yesterday afternoon.
Hui scored 9.66 following Taiwan's Sun Chia-hung and the champion, Singaporean athlete Tay Yu Xuan.
Hui on Saturday snatched the first gold for Hong Kong in the Men's Tai Chi Sword event, by defeating the first and second runners-up, Taiwan's Sun and Japanese contestant Ebina Tohma respectively.
"I am extremely grateful to the audience, my family, and friends in Hong Kong," Hui said Saturday, and he hopes to have a consistent performance in the upcoming contests, including the Asian Games.
Another martial arts athlete Lau Chi-lung snatched silver on Saturday in Southern Fist event, also the first medal for Hong Kong in the Games, by achieving 9.57 points, followed by a 0.2 point deficit to Cao Maoyuan of the national team.

A total of 141 Hong Kong athletes are participating in the Games in 10 other sports, including 2022 Olympic Men's Foil gold medalist Edgar Cheung Ka-long, table tennis bronze medalists Doo Hoi-kem and Minnie Soo Wai-yam.
The World University Games opened on July 28 and will be closed on August 8.
Concurrently at the World Fencing Championships in Milan, Italy, yesterday, Hong Kong Men's foil team won bronze in the World Championships team event for the first time.
Cheung, Ryan Choi Chun-yin, Yeung Chi-ka and Leung Chin-yu, competed against Italy in the top eight of the team competition with a time of 45:40 which moved his team to the semi-finals and won bronze.
