Families with minors planning to have fun at the Hong Kong Disneyland are urged to observe new rules on wagons and strollers that will take effect on July 31.Parents may rent baby stroller from the Fire Department next to the City Hall inside the theme park if their buggies are too big for the new size limits. To celebrate the 100th birthday of Disney and the 18th anniversary of the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, a new "Dream Makers" statue featuring Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse will be unveiled in October. Hoardings have been put up around the area for the installation work.
Although wagons and stroller wagons will still be permitted, there will be limits including size. For example, strollers will have to be smaller than 92cm by 132 cm. Manual wheelchairs, mobility devices that are electrically powered with at least three wheels and not faster than walking will still be permitted.
