Citybus driver quits to be on mom duty

Citybus passengers bade farewell to the company's "bus captain goddess" after she announced that she will become a full-time mother.

The driver, Lau Ka-wing, said on Facebook that she has decided to quit her job after working as a bus driver for six years.

"Over the six years, I have benefited and experienced a lot," Lau said. "I have a baby after getting married and it's difficult to take care of a baby while taking shifts," she said.

But Lau said she might return to the position in the future: "I'll be back! See you soon."

Netizens bade farewell to her and wished her the best as a full-time mom.

"I've been taking buses for decades and the rides driven by you were the most stable and comfortable," one netizen said.
