Billionaire homes in on Tokyo

Alibaba founder Jack Ma Yun has been living in Tokyo for almost six months after disappearing from public view following China's crackdown on the tech sector, reports say.

The 58-year-old billionaire has kept a low profile since the crackdown, which has included Chinese regulators scrapping the IPO of Ma's Ant Group and hitting Alibaba with record fines.

But reports said he has spent much of the past six months with his family in Tokyo and visited the United States and Israel. He went to the Spanish island of Mallorca last year. The reports said Ma goes to private members' clubs in Tokyo, is a collector of Japanese modern art and explores expanding his business interests.
