Air of mystery about wedding photo

Congratulations poured in after Ocean Park chairman Lau Ming-wai posted a photo on social media to suggest he has married, with the bride believed to be entrepreneur Joyce Kan.

Lau didn't have much to saw about what would be his second set of nuptials, accompanying the picture of the groom - face unseen - and his bride standing and hugging with just the date "05/03/2022," implying they wed this month.

And the bride wasn't giving much away in the picture either. In a white dress and holding a bouquet, her face was concealed by the obligatory surgical mask below her spectacles rather than a wispy veil.

The 41-year-old Lau is the firstborn of billionaire Joseph Lau Luen-hung, the former chief executive of Chinese Estate Holdings. Dubbed "Package Lau" by people for his combination of good looks and wealth, he first married in 2001. Then wife Wendy, who he met at university, gave birth to twins in 2008. They divorced two years later.

It was in 2020 that Lau was spotted shopping in Causeway Bay hand-in-hand with Joyce.

They had met on RTHK's matching program Who Am I? in 2016.
