Manchester United U16s to play in Mong Kok twice

The JC Youth Football Academy Summit 2026 returned to Hong Kong from August 10 to 17, bringing together young talent and cultural exchange. 

The highlight came at Mong Kok Stadium, where Manchester United’s U16 squad faced Kitchee’s U18 and the Hong Kong U16 team in weekend matches. 
United’s youth players joined Hong Kong’s U16 for a joint training session at the Hong Kong Football Association's Jockey Club Training Centre on Wednesday, with former United star Jaap Stam making a special appearance to provide guidance. 

Earlier in the week, the visiting squad toured the Jockey Club Apprentice Jockeys’ School and Racing Talent Training Centre, learning about stable work, riding simulators and interacting with horses. 

Beyond football, the summit featured cultural activities and visits to Jockey Club facilities, reflecting its mission to broaden horizons and foster holistic development. 

Organized by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, Manchester United and the Hong Kong Football Association, with support from the Jockey Club Charities Trust and Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, the program aims to inspire young athletes by combining competition, training and cultural experiences.
