Hong Kong travel agencies have cancelled almost all the tours departing on or before March 31 that transit through the Middle East on Emirates, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways, citing ongoing regional instability.
Wing On Travel announced on social media that it has cancelled all tours departing on or transiting through the Middle East via Emirates and Qatar Airways before March 31. The agency said it will contact affected customers to discuss necessary arrangements and will make decisions about tours departing on or after April 1 at a later date.
Miramar Travel has also cancelled all tours departing on or before March 31 that transit through the Middle East on Emirates, Etihad Airways, and Qatar Airways. The agency said it will assist affected customers by rerouting them to alternative destinations if possible.
WWPKG announced it will cancel all tours to or transiting through the Middle East scheduled before March 31. Customers who have already booked may choose to transfer to another tour or receive a full refund.
