A clinic entrance at a shopping mall in Tin Shui Wai was set on fire early Tuesday (Mar 10), with a passerby helping to extinguish the flames before emergency services arrived.
Police received a report at around 1am that a fire had broken out outside a clinic on the ground floor of Tin Shing Shopping Centre on Tin Ching Street.
A passerby noticed the blaze and quickly helped put it out.
Officers arrived at the scene and, after a preliminary investigation, classified the case as arson. The case has been handed over to Yuen Long district crime squad for further investigation.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
