Customs seize $4.4m meth from 62-year-old man arriving from South Africa

Hong Kong Customs arrested a 62-year-old man after seizing about HK$4.4 million worth of suspected methamphetamine from his checked baggage at Hong Kong International Airport.

The man arrived on Tuesday (Feb 24) from Johannesburg, South Africa, via Singapore. During clearance, officers found around 8kg of suspected meth concealed in his suitcase.

He was arrested for suspected drug trafficking.

The case remains under investigation.
