Hong Kong beats FC Seoul 6-5 on penalties in Lunar New Year Cup

Team Hong Kong, China, defeated K League side FC Seoul on penalties in the Lunar New Year Cup at Hong Kong Stadium on Saturday, drawing over 14,000 fans.

Hong Kong led 1-0 at halftime through Juninho’s header. FC Seoul equalized in the second half via substitute Patryk Klimala’s chipped finish inside the box.

After a 1-1 draw, penalties decided the match. Both teams converted their first four kicks.

However, FC Seoul’s Cho Young-wook hit the post on the fifth, allowing Hong Kong’s Jordan Lam Lok-kan to score the winner.
