Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law Shuk-pui said a series of major sports events will be hosted in Hong Kong this year, which will bring joy and positive energy to both residents and visitors.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Henderson Land x Pok Oi Central Harbourfront Charity Run 2026 on Sunday, Law stated that the funds raised will be used to construct the Pok Oi Hospital Tuen Mun Lam Tei Nursing and Residential Care Home for the Elderly.
A certain portion of the funds will also be allocated to support the reconstruction and assistance project for Wang Fuk Court and the residents affected by the fire.

The run's route starts from Lung Wo Road, passes through Tim Mei Avenue in Central, the Connaught Road Central Flyover, and the Central Harbourfront Promenade, and enters the heart of Central.
It features 10km, 3km, and 1km races, with categories including individual, corporate and group, family, and wheelchair participation. A new 1km "Leader's Cup" has also been introduced.
Meanwhile, Law highlighted that grand sports events, such as the Hong Kong International Horse Show 2026 and the Hong Kong World Grand Prix, will be hosted this year in the city.
She also mentioned the opening of the eastern section of the North Point East Coast Boardwalk and encouraged citizens to make full use of the new facilities and engage in active exercise.
