The Scout Association of Hong Kong (SAHK) will host a series of events celebrating its 115th anniversary, including a music concert and Scout National Security Day, inviting the public to join in commemorating this milestone.
The celebrations begin with the Empowering FUTURE @ 115 Concert and Hong Kong Scout 115th Anniversary Kick-off Ceremony on February 28 at the Hong Kong Coliseum.
The event will showcase performances by veteran local singer Leo Ku Kui-kei, the band Tai Chi, and others, expecting to draw over 6,000 scouts along with guests from Hong Kong, mainland China, and overseas. Tickets are available through Urbtix.
A key highlight is the Scout National Security Day, scheduled for April 11 to 12 at Victoria Park, with a significantly larger scale and an open invitation for public participation.
Additional events include the Hong Kong Scout International Regatta in early August and a Cub Scout camping activity in late December.
Wilson Lai Wai-sang, Chief Commissioner of SAHK, emphasized the association’s commitment to fostering cultural exchanges between Scouts from Hong Kong and abroad, helping to nurture cross-regional friendships.
He expressed appreciation for the community's ongoing support and committed to offering young people wider opportunities for growth, enabling them to develop skills that benefit the nation and society.
The association has also partnered with Pop Mart International to release special commemorative blind boxes for the anniversary, designed to appeal to younger audiences and boost the visibility of the Scout movement.
BYD Hong Kong, the sponsor of this year’s Scout Raffle Campaign, has donated an electric vehicle as the grand prize in support of the Scouts’ long-term development.
